PRESS RELEASE - Friday, Oct. 22, 2021 - Cleveland, OH – Cuyahoga County Council President Pernel Jones Jr. today endorsed Justin Bibb for mayor of Cleveland.
“Justin has an ambitious vision for Cleveland that will propel the entire region forward with the goal of collaboration front and center,” said Jones, County President and Councilman representing District 8.
With Bibb as mayor, Jones said Cleveland will rise to its potential and Greater Cleveland will thrive.
“I look forward to working with a mayor who is open to collaborating on shared priorities like public health, criminal justice reform, and utilizing the diversion center,” Jones added.
Justin Bibb pledged to be a leader for Greater Cleveland and said he looks forward to working with Jones and the Cuyahoga County Council to better the region.
“I am thankful to Pernel Jones Jr., County Council President for his endorsement today,” Bibb said. “Cleveland’s success will drive the region’s success, and I will never lose sight of that as mayor.”
